23rd Annual LifeSource Golf Classic Was a Huge Success!
The 23rd annual LifeSource Golf Classic was a resounding success that even a rain storm couldn’t put a damper on. Joining us at Majestic Oaks in Ham Lake, MN were 230 golfers and 50 volunteers. Despite the abbreviated time on the course due to weather, golfers were able to complete several holes before moving inside. For the third time in LifeSource Golf Classic history a golfer sank a hole-in-one! Kevin Doyle hit the shot and became the proud new owner of a 2018 Ford Fusion from Inver Grove Ford.
Proceeds from the LifeSource Golf Classic totaled over $150,000 and will go towards educating and building public support for organ, eye and tissue donation in our community.
As part of the evening, Bob and Shelley Shutes shared their personal story of hope and healing thanks to the gift of donation. This November marks the 20th anniversary of Bob’s heart transplant. 2018 will be the last LifeSource Golf Classic that Shelley will lead. We’re grateful for her leadership of this event over the last 15 years.
A big thank you to this year’s sponsors, attendees and volunteers. You can find pictures from the event here.
Save the date! The 2019 LifeSource Golf Classic will be held on September 16, 2019.
