Shine Your Light for Donate Life

Join LifeSource in the Shine Your Light challenge this April, in celebration of National Donate Life Month.

Locally, over 2,700 people are on the organ transplant waiting list. To bring attention to this statistic, we are partnering with hospitals, businesses and other organizations across the Upper Midwest to light up their buildings blue and green.

Are you interested in participating or know an organization or building that may be interested? Let us know! Email info@life-source.org for more information.

How to Participate

Participants are requested to shine their blue and green lights during April. Below are key dates to consider:

Share Your Blue and Green Colors

Here are some ideas below to get started:

  • Decorate your house with blue and green lights, streamers, flags and window artwork. Get in on the fun and let your neighbors know that YOU support organ and tissue donation!
  • Wear blue and green on April 12 for National Blue and Green Day! By wearing blue and green, you help raise awareness about organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation.
  • Go for a chalk walk. Use sidewalk chalk to share messages about organ, eye and tissue donation near your home.

Have an idea to add to this list? Drop us a note at info@life-source.org. For more information on Donate Life Month, visit Life-Source.org/donate-life-month.
