Building a Strong, Mission-Driven Community at LifeSource
Life sometimes takes you by surprise; a couple of weeks before my first day of work at LifeSource, I found out that a close family member had decreased kidney function in both kidneys. I had never experienced this feeling of the possibility of transplant for someone close to me. I suddenly felt the impact of our mission in a new way. I feel in my heart that I was meant to begin this work at LifeSource.
I lead our Workplace Services, Learning & Education and Human Resources departments for LifeSource. I am fortunate to be a part of the people, community and learning aspects of our work.
Working at a mission critical organization that is truly impacting the world is the work that I want to be a part of. My previous work experience in similar mission driven organizations with an equity, diversity, inclusion commitment helped me to connect as a whole person personally and professionally.
I work at LifeSource because I believe in the mission of saving lives. The equity, diversity inclusion commitment is profoundly important to me as I am part of a family who immigrated to the USA from India, and I understand how important it is to make sure that ALL are welcome and included. As I hear the stories of the donors and their families and the willingness at a moment of loss to be able to give hope and the gift of life to others is deeply inspiring.
