Kelley Romanowski
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science degree from the University of Minnesota, I worked in a Twin Cities funeral home for nearly 11 years prior to joining the LifeSource Team. I’ve also worked with our local transplant centers to facilitate donor organ transportation and became a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist through AATB in 2016. I want to bring a funeral director’s perspective and voice to donation in caring for families. I am a licensed funeral director in Minnesota and am committed to serving my funeral director colleagues through on-site embalming and restoration assistance, education, and being a bridge between funeral service and the donation community. I seek to identify process improvement ideas in partnership with funeral directors to better support the families we jointly serve. In the spring of 2020, I became a part-time Teaching Specialist with the program of Mortuary Science and in 2021, I became a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Funeral Service Practice. I continue to identify educational opportunities to enhance my knowledge so I may share that with my colleagues.
I am an active member of the Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, and the Arrowhead Funeral Directors Association and am a member of the Donate Life America Funeral Services Subcommittee. I am privileged to speak at local, national, and international funeral service education events, conferences, and conventions.
I love advocating for donation with our partners and welcome the opportunity for improved processes to support those organizations we partner with.
