Mary passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm on January 22, 2003.

Mary was born in Illinois, married and moved to Wisconsin. Mary was married for 40+ years to Merrill Lovvik and had two sons, Kevin and Paul respectively. Mary has one daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Mark, age 12 and Emily age 9.Well to either of them they are 14 and 10 with birthdays approaching in May and July.

Mary’s family was the light of her life. She spoiled us all rotten! But that is a wife, mother and grandmother’s prerogative. Mary loved to garden, sew, embroider, bake and spend time with her family. She was very active in all aspects of her family’s activities. She enjoyed family reunions. Vacations, going to her children’s and grandchildren’s school functions as well as their extra-curricular activities. Mary has always supported WI Badger and Green Bay Packer football. More recently, Mary became a hockey fan for her grandson who plays and her oldest son who coaches. Mary was very active in her church and supported the congregation in every way possible.

Mary was a nurse and more significantly an oncology nurse. Throughout her35-year career, she served, supported and treated many patients who ultimately became her friends. Many survived and those who unfortunately did not. Mary was extremely respected in her field and was held in very high regard. She was very thorough, considerate and caring nurse.

There is so much more that Mary stood for and supported throughout her life. We just hope that this small insight will be beneficial to the donation you received and your recovery. Mary was very proud to serve in her medical profession and to be an organ donor. We are certain that Mary is very grateful that someone has benefited from her donations.
