Advancing Donation Education and Conversations in All Communities
My position requires the development, implementation and execution of an effective public education and community engagement program designed to increase support for organ, eye and tissue donation in historically underrepresented communities such as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+, throughout the donation service areas of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. I also work in the engagement and integration of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) practices and initiatives in alignment with LifeSource’s organizational culture and talent development.
Previous to LifeSource, I have worked in different non-profits (Clues, Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance/Stroke Association and Alzheimer’s Association) in the education and community outreach departments. As a bilingual and bicultural professional, I was in charge of connecting organizations and resources to diverse communities in the state.
I work at LifeSource because of its mission and vision. I believe there’s no better place to work than a place that helps families give the gift of life. It is my responsibility to connect diverse populations with LifeSource to bring reliable and culturally appropriate information, to dismantle myths around organ donation and to contribute to a more equitable access to information and resources.
