The barbed wire represents the tattoo (his only one!) around Bruce’s arm. I would have liked to represent all the sports Bruce loved on the quilt piece, but there were so many! The hearts represent his love for softball, basketball, football, golf, weight lifting and fishing, and our never-ending love for him. “I’m Free” was sung at his funeral, and the poem was on the front of the service program. He grew up in Ada, Minnesota. The celebration of Bruce’s life was on his 30th birthday. Love you, Brucie. Mom
