Earth tones were chosen for this square because Greg loved the outdoors. If you look closely at the fabric, you will notice plants, deer, trees, and mother earth tending to her garden.

Some of Greg’s favorite things to do outdoors included fishing, hunting with his dogs, Harley and Davidson, down hill skiing and motorcycling. These four interests are represented in each corner of the quilt square.

In life, Greg had a big heart lending a helping hand to those who were down and out. In death he gave the ultimate, his heart, to save the life of a father with a wife and two children. We miss him here on earth, but are comforted by the fact that his heart beats on. Greg’s heart literally and figuratively is represented by the hearts found in two of the fabric used in the square.
