Because of You: Cheers to a Successful 25th LifeSource Golf Classic!

To everyone who golfed, supported the event and volunteered their time: You make more stories possible. Thank you!

That’s a wrap! This special 25th anniversary of the LifeSource Golf Classic honored the legacy of Terri Opp and the inspiration of her family and friends to work towards a day where no one dies waiting for a life-saving transplant. With a few new surprises and challenges, of course.

This year’s event was not like any other. No one could have foreseen the 25th anniversary would have taken place in the middle of a pandemic.

The planning team quickly pivoted; after countless Zoom calls and some “COVID creativity” the event included:

  • A socially-distanced golf tournament in the afternoon, and
  • A first-of-its-kind virtual LifeSource “par-tee” program that attendees could watch from home.

Thanks to you, we had over 190 golfers and 30 volunteers join us for a beautiful afternoon at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minn.

Proceeds from the LifeSource Golf Classic totaled over $174,000 and will go towards educating and building public support for organ, eye and tissue donation in our community. Gifts are still being accepted to help us reach our goal of $200,000 to support and adapt our educational outreach impacted by COVID-19.
