National Doctors’ Day!
On March 30th we celebrate National Doctors’ Day! Join us in recognizing the incredible and compassionate work of our physicians as they help save and enhance lives each and every day.
March 30th is Doctors’ Day, an annual observance aimed at appreciating physicians who help save and enhance lives everywhere.
The holiday first started in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, and since then it’s been honored every year on March 30, which was the first anniversary of a doctor using ether anesthesia. In 1842 Dr. Crawford Long painlessly excised a tumor from the neck of his anesthetized patient, the first time this was ever done.
Today, March 30 remains a day where we express gratitude to the doctors who care for all of us and help to advance medicine.
At LifeSource we celebrate the innovation, dedication, and compassion of all the doctors with whom we work. These physicians, so taxed during the pandemic, seek healing for their patients in their compassionate and expert practice. And when healing is no longer possible, doctors work alongside LifeSource to help patients and families offer life to others through organ, eye and tissue donation.
On this day, we ask everyone to join LifeSource and honor the tremendous work of physicians in a multitude of disciplines. We are grateful for their service.
