The following is something Allen wrote for a school paper.

“I’ve learned a lot of things in my life so far. But the three that I think are the most important are trust, friendship and love.

Trust is very important in every kind of relationship. Without trust nobody could be together with a spouse or even just a friend. Without trust nobody would have any friends.

Another important thing I learned is friendship…One day I was talking with a kid that wasn’t popular and did not have any friends. He and I agreed about “friendships”, both hoping to make a new friend.

Everybody has to have love in their life. It doesn’t matter if it’s your family member or a friend. I think if somebody doesn’t have love, he/she will create violence in their life.

There are many lessons in life, but nobody can learn them all. I’m going to try my best to learn the most that I can.”
