Urgent: Face Masks Needed

UPDATE: Thanks to all those who participated in making masks for our funeral home partners. Because of you, we were able to meet their needs and are no longer requesting masks.

In these unprecedented times, LifeSource is committed to our mission of hope and healing through donation – and continues to advocate for our strong partners in need of basic items. We are officially collecting homemade masks for our funeral home partners in dire need throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

We Must Stitch Together

Our Partner Support Liaison Kelley Romanowski began making masks with her daughter as a service project to support her colleagues in funeral service. Her LifeSource co-workers and community volunteers wanted to help in this effort, and thus a “Mask Drive for Funeral Service” was developed.

Our volunteers are working hard to meet the requests that have come to us so far. We know funeral directors are essential personnel during this global pandemic, and LifeSource is doing anything we can to support you on the front lines.

How to Help:

  1. Use your sewing skills. If you have sewing skills and would like to help, please consider making and donating masks. To assist in this process, download these instructions on how to make a face mask. Once complete, mail them in or drop them off in a plastic bag at:

LifeSource
ATTN: Mask Project
2225 West River Road N
Minneapolis, MN 55411

Please include your name, phone number and/or email address with your face mask donation, so we can properly thank you for your incredible generosity. We will make sure your gift gets to the funeral homes in need.

  1. Spread the word. If sewing is harder than it seems, help us spread the word for those in need. Share this blog post with your family, friends and neighbors and see if anyone can lend a hand.
