I am a heart/double lung transplant recipient. I was treated at Rochester Mayo but actually had my transplant surgery in Jacksonville, FL Mayo. I currently do post-transplant care in Rochester.

Competitions/Events at the 2022 Transplant Games of America
I’m hoping to do the 5k walk, volleyball, bowling and pickleball.

Why do you participate in the Transplant Games?
For the comradery of my teammates and meeting other people from across the U.S. I also appreciate showing what organ donation can do and doing the games in memory of my donor.

One thing you want others to know about donation.
I try to inspire others who are waiting for a transplant or who recently had a transplant. I try to promote organ donation awareness and also the transplant process. I’ve been given almost 18 more years because of the gift of life I received.
