What’s the Impact of Eye Donation?

Eye donation is transformational.

Eye donors have an incredible impact.

For the past 60 years over 2 million people have had corneal transplants to restore their eyesight.

Over 80,000 people receive corneal transplants each year worldwide.

Over 70,000 people become eye donors after their death each year.

One eye donor alone can heal up to 10 people through cornea and sclera donation.

The sclera (the white part of the eye) can be divided into eight parts and used to repair eye damage caused by disease or trauma.

Every seven minutes someone receives a corneal transplant!
